Achromatic Cylindrical Lens

An achromatic cylinder lens is a type of doublet lens consisting of a positive low-index (crown) element and a negative high-index (flint) element cemented together. The two materials are designed to work together to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations. The Typical applications include line generation with laser diodes, focusing a diverging beam onto a linear detector array or using a pair of cylindrical lenses to collimate and circularize the output of a laser diode.

Common Gluing Techniques

The common gule way involves using optical-grade adhesives to bond two or more optical components such as lenses, prisms, and plane mirrors into a single optical element. This process requires precise control over the thickness and uniformity of the adhesive to ensure the optical performance of the lenses. The selection of the adhesive is also crucial, as it must have good transparency, low scattering and low absorption rates, as well as excellent bonding strength and weather resistance.

The optical contact method combines optical components by relying on the attractive forces between the molecules of the polished surfaces. This process has high requirements for the surface shape accuracy of the optical components, increasing the processing difficulty. However, since the interface of the optical adhesive method has no medium, the optical performance remains unchanged, the deformation is small, and it has good cold resistance and heat resistance. The optical adhesive method is suitable for the bonding of large-diameter components and optical systems with many components.
